MANILA, Philippines — The postponed PVL Reinforced Conference Pool A triple-header on Thursday (July 25) has been moved to August 8 as the final playdate of the first round at Philsports Arena.
A day after the postponement of Pool A games due to inclement weather, the league has decided to extend the first round to another day next month as six squads from the group won’t have a game this week and will return to action on Tuesday.
PLDT was supposed to gun for win No.3 in Pool A against Farm Fresh, which is winless in two games, at 1 p.m., while Creamline (1-1) and Nxled, who both hold identical 1-1 records, fight for their second win at 3 p.m.

Chery Tiggo was scheduled to take on the winless Galeries Tower (0-2) at 5 p.m.
The Pool A teams end a week-long hiatus on Tuesday with winless squads Farm Fresh and Galeries Tower fighting for their first win at 1 p.m. Chery Tiggo will eye its third win against Creamline at 3 p.m., while unbeaten PLDT battles Nxled at 5 p.m.
After the games on August 8, the second round fires off with the top three Pool A teams playing the bottom three of Pool B in Pool C, while Pool D will consist of the top three Pool B squads and cellar dwellers of Pool A.

Teams will only play against the teams from the other group.
After the preliminary rounds, teams will be ranked using the FIVB Classification System with the Top 8 advancing to the knockout quarterfinals
Winners of the playoff round will move on to the semifinals, which will also played in a do-or-die format. Both battle for the title and the bronze match will be knockout matches.
