Aguilar faced a daunting challenge in the finals, where she squared off against United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) Sarah Abuhijleh in the girls’ Gi 22-kilogram A Class division. Despite competing in a heavier weight class, she displayed extraordinary skill and composure, ultimately prevailing 3-0 for the gold.

Her father, Alvin Aguilar, founder of Philippine mixed martial arts and president of DEFTAC Philippines, shared his amazement at her accomplishment.

In the semifinals, Aielle made quick work of her opponent, submitting Sana Alzaabi of the UAE with an armbar in just 20 seconds—a testament to her refined technique and relentless training.
