MANILA, Philippines — Sisi Rondina admitted Choco Mucho has a lot of work to do after splitting its first six games in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.

Rondina erupted for 26 points on top of 13 digs and 13 excellent receptions to lead Choco Mucho past Farm Fresh in five sets, 25-20, 25-21, 21-25, 25-27, 15-12, on Thursday evening at Philsports Arena and end the year with a win.

Aayusin na lang at tulung-tulong,” she said.

Choco Mucho coach Dante Alinsunurin agreed with Rondina, saying that losing their key players was a major blow to their performance so far, following back-to-back runner-up finishes in the past two All-Filipino Conferences.

The Flying Titans have been missing the services of key cogs Deanna Wong due to a nagging injury and former captain Maddie Madayag, who is playing in Japan SV.League.

“Sa akin sinasabi ko sa mga players namin palagi na continue lang, kung ano yung nagiging problema namin every game, every day in practice kailangan namin mag catch-up talaga kasi in terms naman sa skills talaga sabi ko sa kanila nandoon na tayo. Ang kailangan talaga natin is kailangan talaga natin maging isa kung anong gusto namin mangyari,” said Alinsunurin.

Alinsunurin’s No. 1 priority will be their service and reception so they can showcase their strengths in attacking and blocking when they return to action on January 18 against ZUS Coffee.

“Sana pagdating ng January maging maayos na yung takbo ng team namin kung ano man yung pangangailangan namin sa tao is nandiyan lagi every time na tatawagin ko, every time na kailangan namin sa loob ng court ay magpeperform,” Alinsunurin said.
