MANILA, Philippines–Farm Fresh clicked on all cylinders en route to a 25-22, 26-24, 25-21 sweep of winless Nxled at the resumption of the PVL All-Filipino Conference on Saturday at PhilSports Arena.
Playing in her first game in over a year due to an ACL injury, Jolina Dela Cruz came back like she never left to lead the Foxies with a game-high 20 points on 18 attacks and two aces.

Trisha Tubu still made her presence felt with 14 points from 11 attacks, two blocks and an ace while Lorene Toring made her professional debut after her collegiate stint with Adamson ended abruptly also due to an ACL injury.

“Tingin ko medyo nangangapa pa sila lahat so first game sa new year, opening the PVL sa January medyo ipon yung pressure,” said Farm Fresh coach Benson Bocboc as Farm Fresh (3-3) needed only an hour and 23 minutes to dispose of the Chameleons.

“Makita naman yung yung galaw nila medyo pigil so hopefully makapag-adjust na tayo going toward our second match,” Bocboc added.
Dela Cruz was productive late, scoring five of Farm Fresh’s last eight points.

Nxled, which saw the debut of EJ Laure, absorbed its sixth straight loss with Jaila Atienza the only Chameleon reaching twin digits with 11 points, six of which coming from blocks.
Farm Fresh battles Chery Tiggo, which hopes to parade newly acquired middle blocker Risa Sato, next on Saturday.
The Chameleons continue their search for a breakthrough victory this conference against Akari on Thursday in the same venue in Pasig City.
