There are no grand plans for Chery Tiggo as far as its PVL All-Filipino Conference bid goes.

“Maintaining that killer instinct has been the mindset of our team and we are looking forward to carrying it over to our game against Farm Fresh,” said Shaya Adorador in Filipino.

The Crossovers are one hurdle away from reaching the quarterfinals, and a victory in their 4 p.m. encounter with the Farm Fresh Foxies on Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena can seal that spot for them.

Chery Tiggo swept the Nxled Chameleons in three sets previously, seizing control of its bracket in the play-in tournament.

“We also need to keep up our teamwork, listen to our coaches, and once we gain the lead, we have to keep pushing hard because these games are no joke. We’re going all out,” said Adorador after tallying 14 points against the Chameleons.

Strengthened defensively by seasoned middle blockers Aby Maraño and Seth Rodriguez, the Crossovers visibly hold the advantage, especially with Cess Robles, Ara Galang, Pauline Gaston and Adorador around.

Cignal, too

Putting order on the floor for the Foxies is Louie Romero while Jolina Dela Cruz, Trisha Tubu, Aly Bertolano and Caitlyn Viray remain the potent offensive threats at the net.

The HD Spikers found a hero in rookie Ishie Lalongisip, who combined her efforts with Vanie Gandler, Jackie Acuña and Roselyn Doria-Aquino, while benefiting from the floor protection of libero Dawn Catindig and the playmaking of Gel Cayuna to slip past Capital1 recently.

“If we focus on the negatives, nothing good will happen to our team, so we always look at the brighter side in any situation,” said Lalongisip in Filipino, talking about the talent drain suffered by Cignal recently. INQ
