MANILA, Philippines—After weeks of pondering and weighing his options, Perpetual Help high school standout Lebron Jhames Daep made up his mind and chose to play for La Salle.
Daep, who helped the Junior Altas make history after winning their first NCAA championship in Season 100, has committed to the Green Archers following a stellar campaign.

The reigning NCAA Season and Finals MVP made the move official on Saturday, according to multiple sources.
The transfer further bolstered La Salle’s roster in their post-Kevin Quiambao era.
Daep, coming out of high school, is already eligible to suit up for La Salle in the UAAP Season 88 men’s basketball tournament.
The 6-foot-7 forward averaged 15.44 points, 8.33 rebounds, 1.33 assists, 1.78 steals and 1.0 block per game in the elimination round.

The 18-year-old Daep then, upped his game on both ends in the three-game finals series against La Salle Greenhills by averaging a double-double of 13 points, 11.6 rebounds on top of 2.6 steals.
With Daep at the forefront, Perpetual Help claimed its first title since its 41-year admission in the NCAA.
Daep will be joining a boatload of talents in La Salle for the upcoming Season 88 with the clearances of Jacob Cortez, Mason Amos and Kean Baclaan to play for the Green Archers after serving their residency years.
Daep will also be joined by Benilde-LSGH standout Guillian Quines, who averaged 23.89 points, 5.33 rebounds, 4.44 assists and 3.22 steals per game to push the Greenies to the Finals against the Junior Altas.
