MANILA, Philippines—Carl Tamayo continued his winning ways on Saturday, adding a Korean Basketball League (KBL) championship to his growing list of accomplishments in his young basketball career.

The KBL title was Tamayo’s second overseas after winning his first as a member of the Ryukyu Golden Knights in the Japan B.League two years ago.

“AGAIN???? Thank you,” wrote the Changwon LG Sakers forward in an Instagram post while holding the KBL trophy.

After playing sparingly with Ryukyu in Japan, Tamayo flourished with Changwon. He played an instrumental role in the LG Sakers’ championship breakthrough, averaging 15.6 points and 7.6 rebounds in the finals.

In Game 7, Tamayo notched a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, helping Changwon avoid total collapse and deny the Seoul SK Knights’ comeback from a 0-3 series deficit with a 62-58 squeaker.
