MANILA, Philippines–Blackwater spoiled the apparent final game of Terrafirma in the PBA after taking a 97-82 victory in Sunday’s PBA Philippine Cup matchup between lowly teams at Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Richard Escoto scored 15 of his 21 points in the second quarter while Christian David dropped 19 as the Bossing snapped a six-game skid to claim just their second win in the all-Filipino tournament.

The Bossing led by 18 which spelled doom for a Dyip side that was hoping to score a victory to close out its 11-year run in the league.

Terrafirma remains in the process of completing its sale with the owners of the Zamboanga Valientes, who entered the scene following the collapse of a previous agreement with Starhorse Shipping Lines.

Louie Sangalang, perhaps Terrafirma’s best player during the conference, scored 24 points as the Dyip finished with a 1-10 record.
