MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine women’s national football team qualified for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup for the third consecutive time.
The Filipinas took down Hong Kong, 1-0, to complete a group stage sweep and book a ticket to the Asian Cup Australia 2026 on Saturday in Phnom Penh in Cambodia.

It took Chandler McDaniel’s goal in the fourth minute and a solid defense for a perfect Group G sweep after beating Saudi Arabia, 3-0, and host Cambodia, 6-0, in the qualifiers.
Olivia McDaniel made the big saves to preserve the lead and deny Hong Kong’s several attempts.

The Philippines will be competing in the Asian Cup, which will be the qualifier for the Fifa Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027.
