Christy Ann Perez and Zachary Da Silva came out on top in the 13-15 division after narrow wins in the RLC Residences Ironkids aquathlon Saturday at Beachfront of Dusit Thani.
Perez of Cebu clocked 11:36.79 over the 250m swim and 2km run, edging Lauren Lee Tan by 1.19 seconds. Perez built her lead in the swim and transition before holding off Tan, who posted the fastest run split at 7:34. Kaia Gica finished third in 12:11.02.

Da Silva led from the swim in the boys’ race and fended off Joseph Calustre to win in 10:24.18. Calustre timed 10:34.09 for second, with Al Dustin Bersabal third in 10:59.12.
Over 600 participants–double last year’s turnout–competed across multiple age divisions in a day of close finishes and dramatic sprints.

In the 11-12 bracket, Henia Go (10:18.77) topped the girls’ side over Hanna Abayan (10:39.99) and Julia Calustre (10:52.35). Hans Sampulon (9:50.93) ruled the boys’ race ahead of Earl Pearson (10:20.17) and Ryuto Matsumoto (10:22.96).
The 9-10 category saw Jashiva Arsua (9:34.60) beat Searafina Redila (9:44.16) and Elli Boleng (10:27.42) in the girls’ race, while Braeden Gasal (9:41.96) led Alfonso Sumabat (10:40.83) and Santino Cohen (10:42.19) on the boys’ side.
In the youngest division, Ami Takei (8:18.23) topped the girls’ race over Ma. Georjina Sumaje (8:26.08) and Elouise Luarez (8:34.03). Johan Santos (8:24.94) rallied past McCarlisle Daclan (8:37.85) to win the boys’ crown, with Xavier Belleza third at 8:54.67.
