MANILA, Philippines—Like fellow Gilas Pilipinas swingman Dwight Ramos, Kevin Quiambao has also rejoined his mother team overseas.
Just days after Ramos returned to Levanga Hokkaido in the Japan B.League, Quiambao landed back in Korea to resume training with the Goyang Sono Skygunners.

“This time, hungrier,” Quiambao wrote in a post, sharing a video of his first session with Goyang after weeks away.
Aside from answering the national call of duty with Gilas, Quiambao also left for Sacramento to try out for a spot in the NBA Summer League.
While he didn’t successfully notch a spot in the Kings’ preseason lineup, Quiambao remained on the move as he represented the Philippines in the 2025 Fiba Asia Cup.

The two-time UAAP MVP impressed in the international stage as he helped Gilas notch a 2-3 record in the continental competition where he averaged 12 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and close to three triples per outing.
Now, the Sono Skygunners have the presence of Quiambao once more after he posted 16.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.3 steals per game in his rookie year with Goyang.
They finished with a 19-35 card last season.
