MANILA, Philippines–Kascius Small-Martin, who made a good impression with his offensive abilities in the combine, was one of six players stricken off the final list of applicants for Sunday’s PBA Rookie Draft.
Small-Martin along with Kareem Marcus Huntley, Wilfrid Nada, Lian Ramiro, Archie Yu, and Raphael Mallari were missing from the names the league released on the eve of the proceedings.

His representative PJ Pilares of Titan Management Group said Small-Martin has yet to receive his Philippine passport, which will be released next month. The PBA also turned down a letter from the Bureau of Immigration.
The 27-year-old Fil-Canadian turned heads with his performance in the combine, showcasing his ability to score while also making nifty passes during the two games he played in the mini-tournament.
“I think I’ve shown what I could do, just a little glimpse of it,” said Small-Martin after the combine. “But I hope it upped my stock a little bit.”

There were teams that had Small-Martin on their Draft board, while coaches got a first-hand look at Small-Martin when his agency held a “Pro Day” a week before the combine.
Small-Martin applied for the Draft after spending the past year in The Asian Tournament playing for the East Sea Pirates and the Taiwan Mustangs.
The final Draft list was trimmed down to 122 players, still one of the biggest in history.
