MANILA, Philippines — National University star Alyssa Solomon was among four Filipinos women’s players who made the final list of the 2025 Korean Volleyball Federation (KOVO) Asian Quota Draft for the next V-League Season.
Solomon, the UAAP reigning Finals MVP and two-time champion, is set to try her luck overseas as part of the 43 Asian import aspirants in the final list reported by Korean news sites.

The NU star already expressed that she has plans after the UAAP Season 87 women’s volleyball tournament but vowed to keep her focus on the Lady Bulldogs’ title-retention bid.
Maddie Madayag, who is currently playing in Japan SV.League, was also part of the list with her Choco Mucho setter Mars Alba and PLDT middle blocker Majoy Baron.

Reports also said that the aspirants are composed of 10 players from Japan, six players each from Iran and Thailand, five players each from Australia and Mongolia, four players each from Kazakhstan, and one player each from Vietnam, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

Marck Espejo, who won a title after getting a chance to play for the Incheon Korean Air Jumbos in the 2023-24 season, will try his luck anew as the lone Filipino in the final 45-man aspirants.
He is currently playing in Japan with the Kubota Spears Osaka.
In 2023, MJ Phillips and Iris Tolenada played in the South Korean league.
Seven teams will draft their respective Asian imports in a non-face-to-face draft at Mayfield Hotel on April 11.
The players selected in the draft can join after July 1, and the contract period is from the signing date to May 31, 2026.
