MANILA, Philippines—Kiefer Ravena isn’t afraid to challenge himself in his second year with the Yokohama B-Corsairs.
On the last day of the Japanese B.League Final Week event at Gateway Mall on Sunday, Ravena admitted to putting immense pressure on himself to “replicate,” what he did for the Shiga Lakes in Yokohama.

And perhaps do much more.
“Personally, I put pressure on myself to be able to replicate or even do better here. B1 [Division] is a different beast when it comes to competition,” said Ravena, who recently signed an extension with Yokohama.
“It’s really tough to win but personally, I would want to put that pressure on myself.”
Two seasons ago, in what turned out to be Ravena’s final season with the Lakes, he averaged 10.51 points, 4.0 assists and 2.59 rebounds per game.
Ravena’s solid contributions helped Shiga do two important things; return to the B1 Division and win the B2 title in just one conference.

After reaching what’s probably his highest in the B.League, Ravena jumped ship and signed with the B-Corsairs last year.
After his first go-around with Yokohama, Ravena posted 9.8 points, 3.8 assists and 1.9 rebounds per game.
His numbers were enough to get the B-Corsairs to run it back with him.
“It’s going to be another opportunity for me to run it back with my team,” said the former Gilas Pilipinas guard.
