Blackwater outlasted Converge, 93-91, on Saturday behind Sedrick Barefield to barge into the championship game of the Kadayawan Invitational Basketball Tournament at University of Southeastern Philippines Gym in Davao City.
Barefield’s three with less than two minutes left put the Bossing on top for good and eventually seal the first slot in the final with a perfect 3-0 record.

They will go for the crown against the NLEX Road Warriors, who in the nightcap posted a 100-96 victory over the Phoenix Fuel Masters.
NLEX set up the title showdown after ending the round-robin in second place with a 2-1 record. The Road Warriors and Bossing will meet in the tournament finale at 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Converge (1-2) and Phoenix (0-3) will meet for third place at 5 p.m.
Blackwater defeated NLEX, 95-90, during the second day of the tournament that served as preparation for the PBA’s 50th season in October.
Barefield gave Blackwater a 90-87 lead after Converge tied the count on the previous play courtesy of Alec Stockton’s triple with 2:14 remaining.
