MANILA, Philippines—Danny Seigle, one of the PBA’s most revolutionary power forwards, is finally part of the league’s Greatest Players list.

Seigle arrived at Solaire North on Friday night with a big smile, moments before being officially honored among the game’s all-time best.

“It’s a privilege to be in such great company, coming in with June Mar Fajardo who’s probably the best player right now. He’s the GOAT,” said Seigle, tipping his hat to eight-time MVP from San Migueo.

“I was hoping and praying because I know there was a lot of conversation about me not making the Top 40 but I’m here in the present and I’m very happy now.”

Seigle personified the word dominance in his 18-year career in the league with whopping eight PBA titles to his name.

Though he never took home the MVP award, Seigle won the Finals iteration of the award four times, all with the San Miguel Beermen and the Magnolia Beverage Masters.

He was also a two-time recipient of the Best Player of the Conference award.

Among those who witnessed Seigle’s rise to the top was Danny Ildefonso, who was all hugs and smiles bumping into his former teammate and occasional rival.

“I was happy and excited. I was excited for this night to see some people I haven’t seen in so long, it’s been about seven years since I’ve been around so I’m really looking forward to tonight,” said Seigle.

When asked whether his inclusion was a long time coming, Seigle just laughed and smiled.

“I totally respect the process and the selection committees. I’m just stuck in the moment right now and happy to be here,” he said.
