MANILA, Philippines—Other than Gilas Pilipinas’ most recent win, Dwight Ramos put emphasis on the squad’s growing chemistry.
Following the Philippines’ 103-98 win over the Macau Black Bears at Araneta Coliseum on Monday night, Ramos said the team’s chemistry continues to get better by the day.

Of course, that’s something they’ll be equipped with for the upcoming 2025 Fiba Asia Cup.
“It’s really fun to be around the guys,” said the sharpshooting guard.
“That camaraderie we have on and off the court makes everything fun. We always want to come back here and keep playing with Gilas.”
Ramos was the second-leading scorer in the win behind Justin Brownlee’s stellar 32-point night.
The Levanga Hokkaido import in the B.League tallied 19 points alongside six assists, four rebounds, two steals and a block in 30 minutes of action.

Ramos’ sentiments on Gilas’ growing chemistry were also typified by the team’s 28 assists, which were nine more than Macau’s 19.
The squad’s camaraderie was also on full display after they faced a 63-46 deficit at the half.
“We came out and they scored like 60-something points in one half and that’s the amount you give up for a whole game.
“That’s all we did, emphasize defense.”
Gilas flies to Jeddah this Thursday after a closed-door practice session on Wednesday at the Big Dome.
