MANILA, Philippines — Dwight Ramos and Ray Parks Jr. sustained their fine form but their teams couldn’t complete a weekend sweep on separate foes in the 2024-25 Japan B.League season following the All-Star break.

Ramos delivered 16 points but Levanga Hokkaido fell to Alvark Tokyo, 78-72, on Sunday at Hokkai Kitayell.

The Hokkaido skipper fired four three-pointers and tallied six rebounds, one assist, and a steal but couldn’t win back-to-back games as they slid to an 11-21 record.

A day ago, Ramos hit a clutch triple that led to an 86-81 win over Tokyo in overtime, where he ended up with 22 points, three rebounds, two assists, and a block.

Parks had the same fate as his all-around game went for naught as Osaka Evessa yielded to his former team Nagoya Diamond Dolphins, 102-94.

Parks unleashed 23 points, seven assists, and six rebounds but couldn’t complete a sweep of his ex-B.League club with Osaka falling to a 16-16 record.

The former National University standout had 18 points, eight rebounds, and five assists on Saturday to haunt Nagoya, 111-109.

Meanwhile, Matthew Wright’s Kawasaki Brave Thunders swept AJ Edu and the Nagasaki Velca as he had eight points, two rebounds, one assist, and a steal in their 83-78 win on Sunday.

Wright struggled on Saturday with two points, one assist, and a steal in 15 minutes of action but they beat Edu and Co., 80-76.

Edu had four points, 10 rebounds, and two assists in their first game but only had three points, three rebounds, and two assists in 21 minutes of action when they got swept by Kawasaki.

Wright and the Brave Thunders improved to a 10-22 card, while Edu and the Velca dropped to 13-19.

Kiefer Ravena and the Yokohama B-Corsairs also split their games over the weekend.

Ravena had five points, seven assists, and three steals but Yokohama was routed by Gunma Crane Thunders, 81-67, on Sunday.

The Filipino B.League lifer helped the B-Corsairs escape the Crane Thunders, 76-74, on Saturday finishing with 10 points, four assists, and two rebounds.
