Dwight Ramos shines despite Hokkaido loss in Japan B.League

MANILA, Philippines—Dwight Ramos was the silver lining for Levanga in Hokkaido’s 92-86 loss at the hands of the Shibuya Sun Rockers in the 2024-2025 Japan B.League at Hokkaido Kita-Yale on Sunday.

Slowly getting his minutes back post-injury, Ramos registered 25 points and three rebounds in 22 minutes of action but it just wasn’t enough for Hokkaido as it dropped to a 13-22 record.

Anthony Clemons spoiled Ramos’ stellar game with an all-around game of 28 points, seven assists, six rebounds, two steals and a block to push Shibuya past Levanga.

Meanwnhile, Matthew Wright and his Kawasaki Brave Thunders zoomed past the Shiga Lakes, 98-95, at Kawasaki Todoroki Arena.

Wright contributed 15 points and two assists to help push the Brave Thunders to a 12-23 card in the Central division.

Ray Parks Jr. was unable to push Osaka Evessa to the dub as they dropped to the San-En Neophoenix, 99-70, at Ookini Arena.

The former TNT skipper scattered 12 points, three rebounds and two assists but his efforts weren’t enough for Osaka, which slid to a 17-18 slate.

Roosevelt Adams made the most of his touches in the Yamagata Wyverns’ 102-66 beatdown of the Ehime Orange Vikings at Prefectural Sports Park.

In just 16 minutes of action, Adams chipped in nine points and four rebounds to bolster Yamagata to the sixth seed of the Eastern division at 15-22.

Geo Chiu was rendered scoreless in the game that saw Ehime crash to an abysmal 3-34 record.

The Nagasaki Velca, meanwhile, trashed the Shimane Susanoo Magic, 96-74, at Happiness Arena with some contributions from AJ Edu.
