MANILA, Philippines — Gilas Pilipinas big men Kai Sotto and AJ Edu continue to excel in the 2024-25 B.League season.
Koshigaya Alphas’ star Sotto is currently second in rebounding with an average of 10.0 boards per game behind leader Thomas Welsh of Levanga Hokkaido, who normed 12.9 rebounds.

The 7-foot-3 Filipino has been averaging a double-double with 14.5 points on top of 1.2 blocks per match.
Edu of Nagasaki Velca, meanwhile, is the league’s third best blocker with 1.5 blocks behind blocking leader Sacha Killeya-Jones of Kawasaki Brave Thunders (1.9) and Yante Maten of the San-En NeoPhoenix (1.6).

Edu is playing 23 minutes per game, averaging 5.6 points and 5.6 rebounds.
Sotto and the Alphas, who ended the year with back-to-back wins, seek to improve their 8-18 record against the Seahorses Mikawa over the weekend.
Edu and the Velcas, who have a 13-13 card, open the New Year against the Yokohama B-Corsairs.
