Armand Copok will be taking good form into the South Pacific stop of the ICTSI Junior PGT series that starts Wednesday, with the Cagayan de Oro native hoping to finally go all the way.
With a third and second place finishes in the last two weeks of the centerpiece 15-18 boys’ division, the 16-year-old Copok certainly looks ripe, especially over the well-manicured course inside a posh village in Davao City.

This will be the third leg of the four-stage Mindanao swing of the circuit, which will culminate with the North vs South Elite national finals in October.
Incidentally, valuable points to make those teams are still up for grabs as only the top four players from each division will qualify.
Alexis Nailga, who won the Mactan, Del Monte and Pueble de Oro legs, is a cinch for a spot in the South team for the Oct. 7-11 Finals at The Country Club in Laguna.
Copok is very much in the running for a spot on the South squad and he can creep closer to that if he can again come up with something similar to the final round three-under-par 69 he had at Pueblo de Oro last week.
A big and talented cast from Davao, led by Adrian Bisera and Matthew Reyes, will be out to uphold home pride even as a wide-open race also looms in the girls’ 15-18.
Trophies in the boys’ and girls’ 7-10 and 11-14 brackets will also be dispute—but for 36 holes—also starting Wednesday.
