MANILA, Philippines—Reigning Korean Basketball League (KBL) Domestic MVP and Filipino import Ethan Alvano proved his worth anew after helping Wonju DB Promy get over its losing streak.
After five losses, DB Promy got over the hump on Thursday after defeating KCC Egis, 88-75, at Wonju General Stadium behind the efforts of Alvano and his cohorts.

Alvano finished with 21 points, five rebounds and three assists while import Omari Spellman scattered 18 in the dub.
Wonju’s victory over Egis put DB Promy at 17-21 for the season, sufficient for the sixth seed in the league.

Meanwhile, Carl Tamayo helped the Changwon LG Sakers zoom past the Seoul SK Knights, 77-68, at Jamsil Student Gymnasium before he shipped out for his Gilas Pilipinas duties.
Tamayo stuffed the stat sheet with 10 points, five rebounds, four assists and a steal to pace Changwon to the win.
The Gilas young gun’s heroics helped the LG Sakers keep hold of the second spot with a 24-14 card for the season.
The KBL will be taking a 12-day rest to give way for D.League action before going back to regular season programming on February 26.
