NBA: Jalen Green sports Kevin Quiambao’s kicks for Filipino Heritage Night

MANILA, Philippines—Houston Rockets star and Filipino American guard Jalen Green paid homage to one of the rising stars in Philippine basketball today.

On Thursday (Manila time), Green and the Rockets routed the Utah Jazz, 143-105, at Toyota Center in Houston, Texas during  the league’s annual Filipino Heritage Night.

In front of 18,055 supporters, Green and the Rockets clinched at least a top six seed in the Western Conference playoffs with a 50-27 record.

And Green did it in style, as well.

The 2021 first round pick for Houston rocked the unreleased adidas KQ x Quiccs AdiZero Select 3.0, a shoe specifically designed for rising Filipino basketball sensation Kevin Quiambao.

“Some heat for tonight,” wrote Green in an Instagram story, highlighting the La Salle notable’s signature kicks.

Quiambao, who’s currently making a name for himself with the Goyang Sono Skygunners in the Korean Basketball League, teased a signature shoe not too long ago and now it’s been shown to the world after being sported by one of the NBA’s great young guns.

In the win, Green tallied 22 points, four rebounds, two assists and a steal to match in 28 minutes of action.

Up next for Green and the Rockets are the West’s juggernaut in the OKC Thunder, still at Toyota Center, on Saturday.
