Bea De Leon and the Cool Smashers are honored to have a fan like Zamboanga, who has been bringing honor to the country with her recent achievements in ONE Championship.

“It’s overwhelming because we all know it wasn’t always like this. So for athletes, especially those of that stature, they understand how it is. We’re very thankful to be recognized in this way, and I’m happy to see the sport continuing to grow.” said De Leon.

“It feels so different when you make history for your country. Of course, it’s such an honor. It’s like carrying the whole nation in this sport. I feel so blessed and grateful that we were able to achieve that kind of history,” Zamboanga said.

“There are so many opportunities, and we can place Filipinos in any sport because Filipinos are really talented.”

Zamboanga is still waiting for her next fight as she eyes more success inside the cage, hoping to inspire other Filipino athletes.

“I hope to inspire not just women—but also men. Not just in my sport, not just in MMA. I want to inspire Filipino athletes to truly pursue their dreams,” she said.
