Alec Stockton scored a season-high 33 points as Converge walloped NorthPort, 111-92, on Friday to get back to its winning ways in the PBA Philippine Cup at Philsports Arena in Pasig City.
Stockton made 11 of 21 shots, including five triples, and was three shy of equaling his career best to lead the FiberXers to their fifth win in eight matches.

He also had three rebounds, three assists and two steals for the FiberXers, who led by a high of 23 against the Arvin Tolentino-less Batang Pier.
Converge recovered after its four-game winning streak was snapped by Barangay Ginebra in last week’s out-of-town game in San Fernando, Pampanga.
In that 85-66 defeat, Stockton was held to eight points on 2-of-10 shooting.
Justin Arana had 18 points and 14 rebounds while rookie Justine Baltazar posted 10 points and 11 rebounds as Converge’s twin towers had a double-double each for the sixth time this conference.
The win came before Converge takes on another team in contention at this point of the eliminations in NLEX next Friday at the same venue.
NorthPort suffered its fifth straight loss after opening the conference with a victory, spoiling the 23-point, six-rebound, six-assist performance of Joshua Munzon.
William Navarro added 20 points and nine rebounds for the Batang Pier.
Tolentino, who is dealing with a hip flexor injury while his future after the season is subject of speculation, missed his third straight game and four in the all-Filipino campaign.
NorthPort’s next match is April 24 against Magnolia in Candon, Ilocos Sur.
