MANILA, Philippines — Converge coach Franco Atienza is keeping his focus on the present with Jordan Heading headed to TNT.
Following the FiberXers’ 117-103 win over Terrafirma in the PBA Philippine Cup at Philsports Arena on Wednesday, Atienza addressed reports that Heading had been traded to TNT in exchange for the rights to Mikey Williams.

“I don’t want to speculate on that [trade] but if ever, I’ll just do whatever the order is, for me… We will find the best way how to make synergy and mend them together,” said Atienza after Converge won over Dyip, 117-103, at Philsports Arena on Wednesday.
Multiple sources reported just before tipoff that Heading, who has yet to play this conference due to a back injury, was on his way to the Tropang Giga.
In return, Converge would acquire the rights to Williams, a former Finals MVP who has not played in the PBA since 2023.

Atienza, though, isn’t thinking too far ahead with Williams set to join a young and gritty team.
“I always look at the present. For now, he wasn’t in our practice or bench, so wala pa,” he said. “I will cross the bridge when I get to the bridge, I guess.”
Despite the noise, Heading remained on the FiberXers’ bench throughout the game and was with the team until the final buzzer. He got a farewell from his teammates after exiting the locker room.
The reported deal is still awaiting PBA approval.
