“I got a great group of teammates and guys. I’ve been fortunate enough to play 12 games with San Miguel. It’s been very fun. A lot of the guys were really cool and [they’re] some of the best players I’ve had, so far,” said Anosike. “Everyone spoke English, [which] made the adjustment easier. I’m happy to be here and I’m happy to have played for San Miguel.”

When asked if he would be open to play for the Beermen again in the future, Anosike said no guarantees but kept his doors open.
“I enjoy the Philippines and I love to hoop so anyway I can play basketball, I’ll play.”

The 25-year-old swingman wasn’t San Miguel’s initial import for the Governors’ Cup as he replaced Jordan Adams in the tail-end of the tournament.
Despite coming in late, though, his presence was greatly appreciated by the Beermen, including star guard CJ Perez.
“We’re just grateful and blessed that he played his ass off in this series. He came late but he tried to adjust for our team and we’re proud of him,” said the shifty guard.
