MANILA, Philippines—Chris Ross was expectedly furious after Game 1 of the PBA Philippine Cup Finals.
Just a few hours removed from TNT’s 99-96 win over San Miguel Beer at Araneta Coliseum on Sunday, Ross took to social media to air his grievances about the game-altering call.

“We don’t want to hear any other explanation on what happened last night,” wrote the veteran guard on X (formerly Twitter). “Anyone that plays ball knows that it was the wrong call but they will keep trying to explain why they are the only ones in the world that thinks otherwise. Delusional is the word. One foot in front of the other.”
Ross was referring to Mo Tautuaa’s dunk with 56 seconds on the clock, which was later overturned with just 11 seconds left in the game.
Suddenly, the Beermen, who clawed from 24 points down, lost their lead with just a few seconds left in the game.

Tautuaa ended up with 10 points instead of 12 to go along with seven rebounds.
Ross, ever the squad’s veteran, showed up huge in Game 1 with seven points, five rebounds and four assists off the bench but to no avail.
This, after Ross powered the Beermen past Barangay Ginebra in Game 7 of the semifinals to bring San Miguel back to the Finals after two conferences of drought.
Ross looks to bring that same intensity for Game 2 of the series this Wednesday at the Big Dome in Araneta, Cubao.
