MANILA, Philippines — TNT big man Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser offered no excuses after the Tropang 5G’s loss to San Miguel Beer in Game 3 of the Philippine Cup Finals.

With Poy Erram sidelined by an ankle injury, Ganuelas-Rosser was among those tasked to fill the void in the third game of the best-of-seven series.

Unfortunately, his efforts in the frontcourt weren’t enough to make the Beermen sweat.

“It’s unfortunate to not have Poy, but the whole theme of the conference has been next man or player up,” said the big man Friday at Araneta Coliseum after their 108-88 defeat.

“Our numbers were called today. We tried our best, but it just wasn’t enough tonight.”

Ganuelas-Rosser struggled mightily, finishing with just three points. Making matters worse, his San Miguel counterpart June Mar Fajardo dominated with 33 points and 11 rebounds.

Still, Ganuelas-Rosser refused to offer any alibis after failing to contain the reigning MVP.

“These are the series or games why you push yourself in the offseason,” he said.

“I pushed myself really hard during my rehab, and I knew you just have to be ready. You don’t have time to be tired or anything like that. You just have to push through.”

Ganuelas-Rosser will have to dig even deeper for Game 4 on Sunday at Mall of Asia Arena, with Erram still doubtful to return.
