MANILA, Philippines—Kadeem Jack was deemed as one of the best imports of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup at the end of the elimination round.
Unfortunately, his stellar showing for the Batang Pier came to a screeching halt when the squad succumbed to Ginebra in the conference’s semifinals after five games.
With Northport’s bitter exit at the hands of the Gin Kings, Jack knows he has “unfinished business” with the squad.

When asked if he would consider being Northport’s import again for next season, the Trinidadian import called it what it is.
“Obviously, I’d say yes right now. I definitely feel like there’s some unfinished business and I would love to run it back with these guys,” said Jack in an interview with Inquirer Sports at Araneta Coliseum on Friday.
“Sometimes, it’s a lot harder to have the exact same things and run it back but I like our core guys and given the opportunity I’d love to do it again, for sure.”
Jack was unable to keep Northport alive for another day as Ginebra subdued the Batang Pier to a 126-99 blowout loss.

But even in the last game of the conference, the former Oklahoma G-League player dropped a monster game to the tune of 31 points, six rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block but to no avail.
At one point in the conference, Jack was primed to be a top contender for the Best Import award after averaging a hefty stat line of 31.7 points, 11.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.9 steals and 1.3 blocks at the end of the elimination round.
His exemplary play helped Northport top the standings at the end of 12 games in the eliminations with a 9-3 card.
Returning to the Batang Pier’s camp will take some time, however, since the next conference in the league would be the Philippine Cup.
Until then, Jack would prepare himself for improvement by scouting the next league he would be taking his talents to.
“I’m thinking about a couple of things in Asia but it has to make sense. All money isn’t good money so wherever I go, it has to make sense,” he said.
“I’ll give myself time to recuperate and rest up from these playoffs and make a decision from there.”
