Rain or Shine made sure it would not waste another big lead while taking advantage of the absence of RR Pogoy to clobber TNT, 107-86, that reduced its deficit in the PBA Philippine Cup semifinals to 2-1 on Sunday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Anton Asistio’s hot shooting spearheaded the convincing romp after blowing an 18-point lead and being forced to overtime by three Calvin Oftana freethrows in Game 2 as the Elasto Painters finally got a victory in the best-of-seven series.
Asistio finished with 24 points on four triples and two four-pointers for Rain or Shine, which led by a high of 29.

TNT remains ahead in the semifinals after playing minus Pogoy, who was in street clothes due to a groin injury.
Game 4 is set Wednesday at Mall of Asia Arena, with Rain or Shine looking to even the series after four games.
Oftana was held to 16 points after dropping 39 in Game 2, but TNT couldn’t replicate its comeback when it trailed by 18 in the first half.
The Elasto Painters went ahead 30-10 before the opening quarter ended at 33-15.
It was a frustrating evening for the Tropang 5G that coach Chot Reyes lashed out at Kim Aurin during one miscue.
The Tropang 5G’s Glenn Khobuntin and Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser were later slapped with Flagrant Foul 1s in separate incidents in the second half when the outcome was virtually in the Elasto Painters’ favor.
