MANILA, Philippines—Terrence Romeo and Stanley Pringle had a reunion of sorts in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup at Ninoy Aquino Stadium on Friday.

A lot has changed, though, since both dynamic guards shared the floor for one team.

Romeo and Pringle’s reunion saw them don the Green and White once more. However, it’s not for the now-defunct Globalport but rather for the Terrafirma Dyip.

And while their reunion was spoiled by an 89-84 loss at the hands of Magnolia, Romeo couldn’t help but grin after sharing the floor again with his former Batang Pier partner-in-crime.

“It really feels good because back in our Globalport days, we made a lot of memories,” said Romeo in Filipino.

Romeo and Pringle’s reunion on the court, unfortunately, was short-lived and uneventful—at least for Friday’s game.

Romeo only played for 13 minutes as he was still adjusting from his right calf injury.

The former San Miguel Beer key cog registered just three points and two assists in the loss that saw the Dyip crash to their ninth straight loss.

Pringle, who has had more time to glue with the young Terrafirma squad after being traded by Ginebra last conference, showed his veteran leadership with a team-high 22 points and five rebounds.

The team both shifty guards now play for isn’t the only difference in their second go-around together.

Years have passed and the once-young tandem of Romeo and Pringle now have experiences under their belt–a quality that Romeo believes can help the young Terrafirma squad in the coming games.

“Now, we’re the veterans of the league so that’s great. We’re ready to help the rookies and our young teammates here,” Romeo said.
