MANILA, Philippines — It was quite a historic night for Brooke Van Sickle as she captured her second PVL Most Valuable Player award after leading Petro Gazz to its first-ever All-Filipino Conference title.
Van Sickle hoisted her second straight All-Filipino MVP trophy just moments after Petro Gazz ended Creamline’s bid for a five-peat with a 25-21, 25-16, 23-25, 25-19 victory in Game 3 on Saturday at Philsports Arena.

The Filipino-American standout, who delivered 18 points, 14 excellent receptions, and 10 digs in the title-clinching win, joined teammate Myla Pablo as a two-time MVPs.
She is now just one award away from tying league’s three-time MVPs Alyssa Valdez and Tots Carlos, both of Creamline.
Van Sickle made her Finals debut in style, scoring 24 points and 14 digs as Petro Gazz survived a five-set thriller in Game 1. She had had 18 points, 14 excellent receptions, and 10 digs in the Game 2 loss.
The 27-year-old outside spiker finished as the third-best scorer of the conference with 349 points off 296 kills, 30 blocks, and 23 aces. She was the top server with 0.38 aces per set and No.2 best spiker with 36.62% attack efficiency.
Van Sickle showed consistency on floor defense, finishing as the No. 3 best receiver (35.37%) and sixth-best digger (2.89 digs per set).
Other PVL All-Filipino awardees
Meanwhile, Savi Davison, who tallied a total of 355 points, was named one of the two Best Outside Spikers. She was also the league’s No. 2 scorer and top spiker with an impressive 38.62% attack rate.
Joining her in the position was Reinforced Conference MVP Bernadeth Pons, who claimed her second individual award as Creamline’s main spiker.
Creamline’s Bea De Leon won her first-ever Best Middle Blocker award with the most blocks, averaging 0.77 kill blocks per set. ZUS Coffee’s top overall pick Thea Gagate capped her conference debut with her first award for the position with 0.74 kill blocks per frame behind De Leon.
For the second straight conference, Farm Fresh rising star Trisha Tubu emerged as the league’s Best Opposite Spiker after emerging sixth overall in scoring with 227 points off 208 attacks, 13 blocks, and six aces.

Kyle Negrito won her third Best Setter award with a 4.98 excellent sets average per frame, while Choco Mucho veteran Thang Ponce was named Best Libero for the fourth time in her career after being the top receiver (47.83% efficiency )and fourth best digger (3.31 digs per set).
Cignal’s breakout star Ishie Lalongisip earned the Rookie of the Conference after stepping up as a main option for the depleted HD Spikers despite missing the playoffs.
