Nxled stretched its unbeaten run in the PVL On Tour, edging Galeries Tower in a tight 26-24, 25-23, 25-23 win Tuesday at the Filoil EcoOil Centre.
The Chameleons improved to 3-0, tying PLDT’s start and moving closer to an outright quarterfinal berth.
SCHEDULE: 2025 PVL on Tour preseason tournament
Each set went down the wire, and despite the sweep, head coach Etorre Guidetti tempered expectations.
“First of all, it’s a false 3-0 because it was 26-24, 25-23, 25-23. It was a very tough battle,” said Guidetti. “Honestly, we started winning only when we began playing as a team midway through the first set.”
Down 13-4 early, Nxled rallied behind steadier passing and improved ball movement.
The team also drew energy from actor Donny Pangilinan, who showed up after Nxled’s viral invite in Batangas.
