MANILA, Philippines — Savi Davison led PLDT in exacting a sweet revenge on Reinforced semifinal tormentor Akari as her main focus was bringing back her team’s winning ways in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
Davison, who was sidelined in the Reinforced Conference last year, shone in their grudge match against Akari, pouring in a game-high 15 points in their dominant 25-22, 25-16, 25-15 win on Saturday at Philsports Arena.

“That’s all I wanted to do was to help the team with whatever I can give in any way possible. I know it was difficult for us to get through that last year, but coming back strong and taking them in three (sets) really meant a lot for us,” said Davison.

But just like her teammates, Davison meant business in bouncing back from back-to-back losses last year as they rose to a 4-2 record.

“The most important part for us is winning our first game of 2025, let alone the rivalry. It’s good to have one more in our win bracket and just going into this year starting on a high note,” she said.
With the High Speed Hitters putting everything behind the past now, they focused on improvement and getting over the hump this time with Davison on their side.
Davison and PLDT brace for a busy schedule, facing Choco Mucho (4-3) on Thursday and Cignal (4-1) on January 28.
