Angelo Que’ is going about his usual routine of taking care of family first before golf, while Antonio Lascuña is neck deep in work trying to regain old form as the two veterans prepare for the second leg of the ICTSI PGT circuit that gets going Monday at Eagle Ridge.

After coming off a six-shot win at Pradera last week, Que knows that he can still dominate a much younger field, while the 54-year-old Lascuña has just fully recovered from a bout with severe gout that practically made him play with one hand in his first three events of the year.
“I feel a lot better now,” Lascuña told the Inquirer in Filipino after a practice round at Manila Southwoods on Wednesday. “I hope to be able to play the way I want to and leave the frustrations of the first three tournaments behind.”
Que, meanwhile, loves doing “daddy duties” for his two kids with wife Tracy, and the win last week only validated his belief that he can do both at the same time.

“I will have to special preparations,” Que said in a separate interview. “That win was big for my confidence and it gets my year off on a high note.”

The P2.5 millionm 72-hole Eagle Ridge Championship will be held at the Faldo course, one of four championship layouts in the vast complex in Trece Martirez, Cavite. —MUSONG R. CASTILLO
