MANILA, Philippines—Rhenz Abando has reunited with his Korean Basketball League team, the Anyang JKJ Red Boosters.

After some time away, Abando is back in training with the Red Boosters following his new contract. He joined the team in Taiwan, where they are holding a training camp.

“Thank you for supporting us and please support us always. We hope to see you guys in our games,” said Abando in a video message posted by the team on Thursday.

Last July, the former Letran standout ended his long break from professional basketball by re-signing with his KBL mother team.

This deal marks Abando’s first contract since his original stint with Anyang ended in 2024 after two seasons.

He didn’t sign with other teams after he departed from Korea, but he played for the Strong Group Athletics during the 2025 William Jones Cup.

Abando left a strong impression in his debut season, helping then-KGC capture the 2023 KBL championship while averaging 8.4 points, 2.7 rebounds and one block per game.
