The prestigious PBA Philippine Cup, the third and final conference of the league’s 49th season, begins on April 4.
The Philippine Cup is the only conference played with just the local players in the rosters. Both the Governors’ Cup and the Commissioner’s Cup are import-laden.
The Meralco Bolts are the defending champions of the PBA Philippine Cup.

PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup 2025 format
The third and final conference of the PBA Season 49 features a single-round elimination round format with each team playing 11 games.

The top eight teams after the eliminations advance to the playoff round. A one-game playoff is schedule if there’s a tie for the eighth place.
The quarterfinals then pits the top four teams, who will have twice-to-beat advantages, against the other half of the standings.
The semifinals, meanwhile, will be a best-of-seven series along with the the Finals.
