MANILA, Philippines — The Creamline Cool Smashers continue to shine the brightest on and off the court.

The stars of the winningest PVL club Alyssa Valdez, Bernadeth Pons, Jema Galanza, and Bea De Leon, dressed to the nines in their dresses that featured different shades of pink, turned heads when they arrived at Manila Hotel to claim their Special Citation for Volleyball in the 2025 Philippine Sportswriters Association Awards night.

For the second straight year, a Creamline product was hailed as Miss Volleyball. After Tots Carlos,  Jia De Guzman, who has been playing in Japan for the past two years, was recognized for her achievements with Denso AiryBees and bronze medal finishes with Alas Pilipinas.

Valdez, a three-time Miss Volleyball, is a proud longtime teammate of De Guzman, who continues to be a selfless leader and brilliant playmaker.

“We’re very very proud of her. We just can’t wait to see her again but we’re just happy sa lahat ng mga recognition na binibigay niya rin not only for Creamline but also for the national team so we’re really looking forward to cheering her as part of the Alas Pilipinas as well,” said Valdez, who has been the main spiker of Jia from Ateneo to Creamline.

They may be the brightest volleyball club in the country but it won’t stop them from being hungry for more as they eye another championship — this time in the six-month format of the All-Filipino Conference.

“We’re very very happy and another motivation for us to be better this year. So hopefully ito yung isa naming inspirasyon para mas galingan pa namin as a team this year,” said Valdez.
